O'Leary's Fishing Spot in Hazel Green, WI

 O'Leary's Fishing Spot

Thanks to my son in law, I have found my favorite new photography place. This little nook by the dam of the Mississippi River on the Iowa/Wisconsin border is a truly hidden gem.

There are so many views to see here. The little inlet where all the fisherman are,  the outlet of the river full of lily pads and turtles or the dam where all the pelicans are floating with the Cormorants are all fun peaceful places to just sit and watch nature, the water and the rippling tides.

Here are some of the pictures I've taken over the years. It is definitely my "go to" place when I feel well enough to drive.

Notice the huge dragonflies in the background here. I had to message the DNR and they wrote back that they are Green Darners, a large species of dragonflies that migrate through Wisconsin each year.

About Me

Hi All! This blog is just a fun way for me to show off the things I accomplish in my life, the things I find beautiful and it gives me something to do. I have a chronic illness, and I spend most of my time in bed. Each time I go out and "do" something, it is an accomplishment   I love nature, animals, scenic views and people watching. (Not in a creepy way.) I am NOT a professional photographer, obviously, but I love to take pictures!  Many times with my art and photography I will add them into my online Zazzle Shops, so check them out!
