A.Y. McDonald Park in Dubuque, Iowa

A.Y. McDonald Park  Another cute park in Dubuque, Iowa is A.Y. McDonald Park or as me and my grandkids call it, Kerper Park. It's right on the Mississippi Rifer with lots of scenic views of boats, barges and the Dubuque Bridge.  There is plenty of playground for the kids and trails for the adults to walk around. You'll see lots of people walking their dogs here. Also people fishing is a common thing to see here. You might also see some Eagles and seagulls here plus an occasional pelican swim by. Here are some pictures. Visit my Dubuque, Iowa Souvenirs Shop Dubuque, Iowa Souvenir Keepsakes by TravelTrinkets

Abandoned House

Abandoned House Not an original title, I know. Feel free to send some better name suggestions in the comment below. Anyways, I was driving to my dad's house one day and saw this beauty somewhere close to the Wisconsin/Illinois border. I had to stop and just take a picture. There are "no trespassing" signs hung up so I didn't go onto the property, just took these from the side of the road, but I would love to know the history of this house. Who lived there? Why is it abandoned? What is the history there? How old is it?  If you like this photograph, I do have some prints in my Zazzle Shop collection, "Black and White Photography." You can visit the collection here.
