Camping at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park RV Resort at Monticello, IA

Camping at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park RV Resort at Monticello, IA

I didn't get a ton of picture while camping here, but I can tell you about the experience. Jellystone is a great campsite to go to for a little weekend family vacay. There is a pool there which is great for the kids. If you look close at the picture below with the pool, you will see there was a big inflatable  jumping "thing" for the kids to jump on. That was a big hit.

There is a river that runs in back of the camp that you can quickly kaya down too. It goes from the pool to the campsites.

The whole park is walking distance, the pool, gift shop, kayaking area, and the big water jump park. But in the case you can't walk, they do rent golf cart, but they rent out fast so get it while you can!

The water bounce park is definitely the main feature of this campground. It would be fun for kids to even go for just the day.

About Me

Hi All! This blog is just a fun way for me to show off the things I accomplish in my life, the things I find beautiful and it gives me something to do. I have a chronic illness, and I spend most of my time in bed. Each time I go out and "do" something, it is an accomplishment   I love nature, animals, scenic views and people watching. (Not in a creepy way.) I am NOT a professional photographer, obviously, but I love to take pictures!  Many times with my art and photography I will add them into my online Zazzle Shops, so check them out! Louie, My Amazon Parrot

Louie, My Amazon Parrot  Louie has been in our family for about forty years now. We don't know how old he is. My mom got him from her friend and we know he lived in a bar for a long time. Thus his love of swearing and saying inappropriate things. But he is the sweetest boy. When my mom had him I was a little scared to get too close. I'd feed him a peanut here and there and talk to him but that was about it. He loves to yell, "help", which has resulted in neighbors calling the police at least once for my mom. When my mom passed, I inherited Louie. It was a learning curve trying to figure out what I needed for Louie. One thing I learned, was Louie was nice! Mostly. I say mostly because kids can make him nervous. We learned quickly he doesn't like too much action and screaming going on around him. But when it's just him, me, my other two dogs and cat, he is just fine. He will open his mouth to warn the dogs and cat not to get too close, but in general they will a...
