Lily Pads on a Peaceful Day

Lily pads on the Mississippi River

I took this picture when I visited a little fishing nook by my house on the Wisconsin/Iowa border. It's a quiet little spot where fisherman gather to catch their fish in an inlet of the Mississippi River. For me, I just like to sit and listen to the sounds of nature and watch beautiful pelicans and Cormorants fly across the water and take pics of all the beautiful-ness I see there.

About Me

Hi All! This blog is just a fun way for me to show off the things I accomplish in my life, the things I find beautiful and it gives me something to do. I have a chronic illness, and I spend most of my time in bed. Each time I go out and "do" something, it is an accomplishment   I love nature, animals, scenic views and people watching. (Not in a creepy way.) I am NOT a professional photographer, obviously, but I love to take pictures!  Many times with my art and photography I will add them into my online Zazzle Shops, so check them out! I'd feed him a peanut here and there and talk to him but that was about it. He loves to yell, "help", which has resulted in neighbors calling the police at least once for my mom. When my mom passed, I inherited Louie. It was a learning curve trying to figure out what I needed for Louie. One thing I learned, was Louie was nice! Mostly. I say mostly because kids can make him nervous. We learned quickly he doesn't like too much action and screaming going on around him. But when it's just him, me, my other two dogs and cat, he is just fine. He will open his mouth to warn the dogs and cat not to get too close, but in general they will a...

The Dickeyville Grotto in Wisconsin
