Resting Squirrel

Resting Squirrel

Summer of 2021
I was sitting in the back yard and this silly little guy wanted to play. He was running up and down the tree with other squirrels, ducking under my chair, and hiding under the little kid's playground slide that is outside for my grandkids. He was not deterred at all that I was sitting in the chair he was playing under.

It was almost as if he was posing for pictures. This little guy brought a lot of joy to my day, just watching him be carefree and silly. Nothing does the heart and soul good like nature.

Is there anyone else out there that loves squirrels like I do? I could just sit and watch them play. They are so adorable.

Here are some of my squirrel photos that I have taken and put on products in my Zazzle store.
Thank you for reading and supporting my photography and art!

Platteville City Park - Pride Picnic - Music in the Park & Chalk Art

Platteville City Park This park has a lot going on, almost all the time! So if you are in the area stop on by and see what event it happening today! Even on peaceful days, you can look at the Veteran Memorial statues, each depicting a different war and just enjoy the shady lawn. There is a beautiful pavilion, a water fountain and park benches and picnic tables. Music in the Park When the weather turns nice in Platteville, they start "Music in the Park." Every Thursday different local bands play, food trucks line the streets and they serve ice cream and Platteville Root beer on occasion. Biting gnats and mosquitoes are a problem during the early summer months! Chalk Art in the Park Another annual tradition in Platteville is to do an art contest using chalk. There are professional artists and enough sidewalk squares for t...

A.Y. McDonald Park in Dubuque, Iowa

A.Y. McDonald Park  Another cute park in Dubuque, Iowa is A.Y. McDonald Park or as me and my grandkids call it, Kerper Park. It's right on the Mississippi Rifer with lots of scenic views of boats, barges and the Dubuque Bridge.  There is plenty of playground for the kids and trails for the adults to walk around. You'll see lots of people walking their dogs here. Also people fishing is a common thing to see here. You might also see some Eagles and seagulls here plus an occasional pelican swim by. Here are some pictures. Visit my Dubuque, Iowa Souvenirs Shop Dubuque, Iowa Souvenir Keepsakes by TravelTrinkets
